Basics

Create a simple frame by frame animation of a ball moving across the screen
which demonstrates:
-Squash and stretch
-Slow in/Slow out
-Anticipation
-Timing.

Create a bouncing ball which demonstrates understanding of:
-Squash and stretch with constant volume
-Animation on archs
-Slow in slow out
-Spacing
-Timing

Recreate the bouncing ball exercise with your own character (like Macheeb here):

Create a pencil test of a basic walk cylce:
-Subtle Squash and stretch with constant volume
-The pathway of the head should moves on archs
-Good Spacing and timing are key.

Now try a more complex walk like a strut or a sneak see: walk cycles.

Finally try a run cycle.

Now a fast run!

Notice The mild use of "Animation Smears."

Finally do a clean up of all your cylcles:
This Does not have to be inked or painted.

Final: Masters study:

Annalise a professional animated sequence and do a study of that sequence using your own character in a similar situation.
